What about the Artist on the border?
So that's me...the guy on the left with the sunshades, and to my right is Göran Nyström of "Men on the border" - who gave me the epitah: Artist on the border.
Edward Lear wrote:
There was an old man on the Border,
Who lived in the utmost disorder;
He danced with the cat, and made tea in his hat,
Which vexed all the folks on the Border.
But let's put the poetry aside. I'm Alex Stubbe Teglbjærg. 45 at the time of writing. Older when you read it. I started began my artistic ventures in the late 90s with design, poetry and music. For a seven year period I recorded and produced several independant demos/mixtapes/albums of varying quality. Formed three bands and started fires in every little little bucket I could find. Come 2002 I decided to stop making music I didn't enjoy and listen to music I truly did enjoy. The result: I became a bootleg artist making between 100 to 150 CD and DVD covers for Pink Floyd releases of dubious quality. In the mid 2000s I created my own film-production unit called self.indulgent.films which produced nothing of worth for the next 12 years. In 2006 I was hired as an intern at Frithiof Film A/S in Copenhagen as a trainee. That year taught me a ton of knowledge that I would squander when my internship ended and I was hired to make pornography at Metro 2000/Film Factory in Sweden.
In short. After this I grew up, cut my hair and got that job, but the idea of making weird shorts grew strong and I uploaded bits and pieces onto the internet until one day:
I got featured. I rolled with it, contacted the right people and Nick Mason was in on it.
A band called Men on the border got in touch with me saying "Hey. We like your animations, can we use them?" I said yes. I also said: "..but only if I can make new ones for you!"
And that is where we are at. I make art, I make covers, I direct videos. I make shows. I create.
I am the artist on the border.

As a musician
The Montana Musical Experiments Project
The Montana Musical Experiments Project was formed out of necessity in 1996. An outlet of teenage life angst. The outfit consists primarily of myself and occasionally invite others to join the band. This project existed for five years between 1996 and 2002 when I decided to leave myself.
In 2017 I regrouped and have been making steady weird progress since.
My highlights are: (depending on who you ask)
What the hell was I thinkin' (2021)
It won't change a thing (2020)
This soft fabric satellite (2000)
All are available for streaming on Spotify.
Feel free to visit and follow my artist profile.
BCP
Formed 2000, BCP (acronym: Basement Cluster Project) was formed by me, and Nils Pihlblad. A proto-punk , Industrial root porn-blues hybrid two-man outfit which has made only one live appearance. The band debuted with Contrary to public belief in 2001 to no fanfare.
The unit disbanded in 2002 with a master recording for a shortfilm about chicken. Then regrouped seven years later to work on the score for the film. Disbanded. Reunited again in 2018 to finish the soundtrack to the film called Chicken.
In 2019 BCP released the INTRUSION BOX, a grandiose self-inflicted mega project consisting 8 CDs, 3 DVDs, a 130 page book, T-Shirt and a lot of other stuff.
Musically this is like having Frank Zappa directing Nine inch nails, performing Pink Floyd songs, with David Bowie on the lead vocals.
Nah...I'm imagining.
BCP exists on Spotify!
You get used to it (EP 2019)
Contrary to public belief (2000)
Chicken (2019)
The inbetween
Somethings fall in neither category. Things like my Pink Floyd/Syd Barrett tributes. These are neither MMXP nor BCP. Somethings are just what they are and I reserve them for something else.
The Frog
A rooftop poem in a thunderstorm row, missing the point
Careful with that Bass, Roger
All of which are going to be released on the compilation Nice Twins, along with Little Twig and One in a million.
Hopefully released in 2023
